1970 was the 1st year for the Milwaukee Brewers who were relocated from Seattle during Spring Training.
1970 was the 2nd year of Divisional Play with the Pittsburgh Pirates winning the NL East, the Cincinnati Reds winning the NL West, the Baltimore Orioles winning their 2nd consecutive AL East title and the Minnesota Twins winning their 2nd consecutive AL West title.
Cincinnati would beat Pittsburgh for the NL Pennant while Baltimore would beat Minnesota for the 2nd consecutive year to win the AL Pennant.
Recap of the 1969 Post Season and World Series, with box scores and game-by-game synopsis. The NY Mets beat the Baltimore Orioles 4 games to 1 in the Mets 1st World Series which was dominated by Donn Clendenon's 3 Home Runs in 5 games.
