This was the Mets 2nd World Series Appearance with many of the 1969 Mets still on the team: Tom Seaver, Jerry Koosman, Tug McGraw, Cleon Jones, Wayne Garrett, Jerry Grote, Ed Kranepool, Bud Harrelson
1973 World Series Games 6 & 7 at the Oakland Coliseum featured the last games ever played by Willie Mays
1973 was Reggie Jackson's 1st World Series as he was injured in the 1972 ALCS
A's beat the Mets in 7 games for their 2nd Consecutive World Series title
1973 was the last year each World Series Team produced their own individualized World Series Program
From 1974 until today MLB has produced an identical standardized World Series Program for each participating Team
