The Family Center for Bipolar
Do you smoke marijuana? Does your mood fluctuate between highs and lows and you feel like it's out of your control?
If the answer is YES, but you are not sure if you should speak to a doctor, The Cannabis Use and Bipolar Spectrum Service (CUBSS) is for you. CUBSS is not a rehabilitation program; it is a bipolar treatment program for people who use marijuana. Our goal is to manage symptoms and provide high quality treatment. Marijuana can affect minds and moods in vastly different ways. Our Bipolar Specialists™ help patients better understand the relationship between their bipolar symptoms and smoking habits; and, with this understanding, we create tailored treatment plans to improve patients’ mental health and quality of life. Note: We do not accept individuals with alcohol dependence or whose primary problem is misuse of drugs.
A program of Beth Israel Medical Center, The Family Center for Bipolar is located at 317 East 17th Street between 1st and 2nd Avenues. For more information, visit us at www.bpfamily.org; or call (212)420-2302.
