3 years and a strong foundation in crafting extensible and scalable Rails architectures that resist the all to common erosion of a software product into a rapidly developed but technical debt laden, partially working, highly disorganized and incoherent ball of mud(BOM).

I have a deep knowledge of the Rails API and will surprise you with little known tidbits of Rails knowledge. I am really into software design. A solution or algorithm can be much clearer and more easily maintainable (90% of the work) if it is esigned thoughtfully. I favor XP style agile development using SOLID (Single responsibility, Open-closed, Liskov substitution, Interface segregation and Dependency inversion) principles, and work hard to establish high productivity workflows using svn or git with interactive rebasing for clean linear history.

Also skilled with jQuery and Object Oriented Javascript, CSS/SASS/HAML. Solid understanding of key Rails libraries(i.e.. ActiveRecord, ActionPack, ActiveSupport).

Experience and course-trained in TDD/BDD with Rspec, Cucumber for testing web API's using factories. Highly motivated with a passion for mastering the craft of software architecture design/development.

Growing knowledge and interest in multi-paradigm programming, e.g., functional/object programming with ruby, javascript(underscore.js), Haskell, and R.
