Work/Study position at Photography Schol

If you are interested in taking free courses in exchange for work, we have some options that you might be interested in.
Please thoroughly review the details below before applying:
A- WORK DESCRIPTION: Photography Studio Assistant.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Answering phone calls and aiding students and clients with photography related questions. Booking photo classes and rentals.
• Setting up and maintaining classrooms, photography studio equipment, darkroom, and exhibition space.
• Maintaining cleanliness and inventory, Entering data, Running errands. Light book-keeping.
• Editing photographs using Photoshop, Website editing using Macromedia Dreamweaver and Transmit.
*Training will be provided*

B- COURSE DETAILS & REQUIREMENTS

1- Considering that our longest course consists of 18 hours (9-session versions), and the shortest of 8 hours (4-session versions) candidate must choose either one of these options: 5 courses, OR any amount of courses that sum 60 or more hours.
2- Candidate can pick any courses, so long as: a) They don't collide with set work hours AND b) There are free spaces available (as determined by the management).
3- PhotoManhattan cannot guarantee that scheduled courses will match with the candidate's date and time preference. Candidate will be expected to choose from the available courses.
4- Courses must be completed within 7 months from your start date.
5- Candidate should sign up to all intended courses within 1 to 1/2 month from the work start date.
PhotoManhattan is not responsible for securing spaces for any courses, thereafter.
6- Candidate must first complete the equivalent work hours before signing up for any course.
For example, to take an Introductory 9-session course, 18 hours of work must be completed. (View work schedule details below)



C- WORK DETAILS & REQUIREMENTS

1- Candidate must be available to work at least Mon - Thu, between the hours of 10:00-4:00pm. The exact amount of hours and days will be determined based on the course options. As a general idea most candidates will work 15 hours per week, approximately.

2- Work period will be 1-2 months, depending on the amount of course hours that the candidate selected:
Usually, If less than 60 course hours, work will be 1 month. If 80 or more, work might be extended to 1.5 to 2 months.
