Responder: frenchalamaison@yahoo.com
Bonjour ou Bonsoir,
MANHATTAN NYC or NEW YORK CITY ! I'm Sylvie. I have been teaching French in NYC for over 18 years to mostly adult students, and have developed a whole method on the book called L'Etranger by Albert Camus, a French novel written in French by a French author (NOT a simplified version for people who are learning French). I have used it and I am still using it as a ''work book'' in my private French tutoring classes and I am now making it available to you ON LINE - EMAIL TO EMAIL. Here are the results you will see immediately :
- drastic increase of your vocabulary
- better understanding of the structure
I will send you well chosen questions on each paragraph and will however provide you with a list of vocabulary to spare you having to check in the dictionary too much. Here is just a little example :
Aujourd'hui, maman est morte. Ou peut-être hier, je ne sais pas. J'ai reçu un télégramme de l'asile: ''mère décédée. Enterrement demain. Sentiments distingués.'' Cela ne veut rien dire. C'était peut-être hier.
- mort/morte : dead - reçu : received - verbe recevoir
- une asile : old folks home or nursing home or hospice
- décédé/décédée : deceased
- un enterrement : burial, funeral
1) Qui est mort ?
2) Est-il possible au lecteur de savoir exactement quand sa mère est morte?
(veuillez expliquer votre réponse)
3) Qu'est-ce qu'il a reçu de l'asile " ?
4) Qu'est-ce que le télégramme disait ?
I will ask for WHOLE sentences of course so as to have you "formulate" your own sentences all the while using the new vocabulary and I will correct mistakes or suggest other ways to answer with a brief explanation.
Is this something you may find interesting ? Then let me know ! So, if you are serious about learning FRENCH, please contact me at frenchalamaison@yahoo.com. ALSO, please visit me at : www.frenchalamaison.com.
CHALLENGE YOURSELF TODAY ! Try to answer the questions and email me the answers. It can be FUN !
Hope to read you soon
Sylvie
