FUNDRAISER UPDATE:
A special thanks to all who have joined in this effort. Donations have ranged from $10-125 from adults, $200+ from several companies and some very special donations from children. We even had a local politician join the effort. All this for a man who is not a celebrity or political figure. He's a family man and generous friend.
For those of you following this so far, my office will continue leading a fundraising effort to support one of our friends through a tough battle. We will be donating 10% of all our office's net profits to this friend. Not for tax breaks, or for any favors in return. We feel it's a good thing to do.
Ostacio Rosario is the father of 3, grandfather to 10, and husband to Minerva for 42+ years. He is fighting a very aggressive form of prostate cancer and we are initiating a strong fund raising effort to help cover some of his monthly medical bills. His out-of-pocket expense PER MONTH is $3,695 for medications and $4,155 for treatments. He's undergoing a stint removal procedure today (November 2nd), as well as a biopsy of a tumor that was spotted in his kidney area. Today's procedure's cost is well over $30,000. How can this man possibly continue paying his rent, bills and living expenses if he has to pay this much just to survive cancer? I'm sure you can understand from looking at those numbers that his battle will be made very difficult due to finances.

EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS. My 5 year old son gave up $2.76 that he'd been hiding inside his toy t-rex's mouth.
***FOR BUSINESSES: If you have a company logo and would like it to be added to the corporate donor's quilt, donate a minimum of $200 and send us a clean and clear picture of your company's logo (the larger the better since we can minimize it without losing detail). Please include a link to your website and contact information to be added to the list. We are preparing the quilt and sending it off to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center to display as a motivational piece for those that are fighting cancer right now and in the future.
